Ear Studs Gold

Our solid gold studs are designed to be especially comfortable to wear. They have a length of 6mm and fit perfectly on the ear without slipping. The end of the stud is flat and so, unlike standard butterfly closures, does not press on the head when lying on the side. All our studs have a internally threaded closure. They can only be twisted open by hand and will not get lost when worn.

The Dimensions

The diameter of the studs is 16G (1.2mm), which is the thickness of the needle used for most piercings. Our studs have a internally threaded closure with a 6mm internal thread and a flat back. Especially for cartilage piercings, this closure is perfect.

What you should pay attention to

Piercings should always be pierced with a stud and not with a Hoop, because the Hoop has a ring shape. The piercing needle is straight and therefore the piercing channel is also straight. If you insert a Hoop with a rounded shape into the straight piercing canal, it will take much longer to heal and inflammation can occur much more easily. That is why we recommend that you get pierced with one of our ear studs and change to a Hoop after healing. The healing process varies from person to person and can take from 3 months up to 2 years.

Our studs are made of 14K yellow gold or 14K white gold. All of Lisa Eleni's gold earrings are hypoallergenic and scratch resistant. Unlike gold plated earrings, solid yellow gold has no layer on the earring that can be damaged, chipped, or scratched off over time.

Cubic Zirconia Stone

We use the highest quality grade of cubic zirconia stones, which is 5A. While cubic zirconia stones do not have the same hardness as diamonds, they are still very durable and a visually comparable alternative. Hardness is determined by the Mohs scale, on which diamonds have a hardness of 10/10 and zirconia stones of 8.5/10. A diamond is the hardest stone there is, but it is also correspondingly more expensive than a cubic zirconia stone, which is why we deliberately chose the cheaper alternative. The stones look visually the same and are very hard, as well as insensitive to scratches. By using high quality precious metals, in combination with the ideal diamond alternative, we can offer high quality gold earrings at a relatively low price. Besides, our earrings can be set with many and large cubic zirconia stones without increasing the price. We want our products to be affordable.

Rosé Gold

Rosé gold would no longer be hypoallergenic due to the red gold it contains, as there is a high amount of copper in the alloy of rose gold to achieve the desired rose gold color. Copper can cause allergic reactions, so we currently only offer yellow gold and white gold earrings.

When looking for the perfect gold earrings, the closure is an important criterion, because it determines the lifespan of the earrings. Here you will find everything you need to know about the two most common stud closures.

Advantages of a internally threaded closure:

• Stud do not sting

Unlike butterfly closures, which have a pointed end, Lisa Eleni's internally threaded studs have a flat back and won't poke your head when lying down.

• 6mm thread

Many internally threaded studs have a very short thread, which often makes changing this type of studs very difficult, especially with delicate designs. Our thread is therefore 6mm long, making it much easier to change the studs.

• Does not get lost

The internally threaded closure can only be opened by hand. The back part of the stud is inserted into the ear hole from behind and the front part of the stud, to which the internal thread is attached, threads into the back part from the front. Due to the fact that the thread is longer in our case, you can easily hold the front part of the stud in your hand, even if the earring size is only 2mm.

• Highest quality

In our opinion, the internally threaded closure is the highest quality closure for studs. It is very stable due to its 1.2mm wide diameter and it does not bend.

Butterfly closure

With the Butterfly closure, the butterfly back is slid onto the stud and snaps into small indentations. A big disadvantage is that the butterfly back comes off the stud very easily. This means, in the worst case, not only the butterfly back is lost, but also the stud itself. With earrings made of cheap materials the loss is less bad, but with earrings made of solid gold you lose something very valuable, and of course this should not happen. That is why we only sell studs with a internally threaded closure.
